Sebastian Rudy’s thunderbolt inside the first two minutes saw Germany get off to a great start in Belfast and Die Mannschaft eventually prevailed 3-1 against Northern Ireland to make it nine wins out of nine in their group and book their spot at the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia
Sandro Wagner (21) and Joshua Kimmich (86) were the other scorers for Germany. Josh Magennis scored a consolation goal for NI deep into second half stoppage time.
With this, Germany also continue their fantastic record of never having lost an away World Cup qualifier (via FD). They will wrap up their group engagements on Sunday at home against Azerbaijan.
